Position Overview:

North Western Property Maintenance is continuing to grow, and we are seeking a skilled Mechanic and Shop Organizer to join our team and contribute to the success of our fleet operations. As a Mechanic and Shop Organizer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of our 20-vehicle fleet and 50 pieces of landscape equipment. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, able to read and follow directions, speaks English fluently, and values honesty and integrity. We offer an above-average wage for this critical role.

Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of approximately 20 vehicles.
    • Maintain and repair small engines and landscape equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
    • Diagnose mechanical issues and execute timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Shop Organization:
    • Organize and maintain the shop area to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
    • Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, and reorder as necessary.
    • Implement and maintain a system for tracking equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
    • Track and document the usage and condition of all equipment and vehicles.
    • Maintain a schedule for regular maintenance to prevent equipment failures.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Communicate effectively with team members regarding the status of repairs and maintenance schedules.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for parts and specialized services.
    • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed within the shop and yard.
Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with experience in both vehicle and small engine repair.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and follow technical manuals and instructions.
  • Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.



Compensation: $80,000.00 per year
